Taaroz Movie (فیلم تعارض) is a gripping 2025 Iranian psychological thriller series directed by Mohammad-Reza Lotfi and produced by Amir Seyedzadeh. Premiering on July 15, 2025. It marks a bold step in presenting mature, psychologically complex narratives in Iran’s online streaming landscape. The story follows Shahram (Reza Behboudi), a man unraveling beneath the weight of paranoia—convinced he’s being constantly monitored by a web of surveillance cameras. His deteriorating mental state spirals into isolation and profound inner conflict, painting a haunting portrait of modern anxiety.

Supported by compelling performances from Soudabeh Beizaei, Mohammad Sedighimehr, and Parisa Mohammadi, the cast brings emotional authenticity to the narrative . Technical excellence stands out: Majid Gorjian’s cinematography captures claustrophobic tension, Afsaneh Sarfejoo’s production design immerses viewers in a subtly oppressive environment, and Ali Geraghouei’s sound design heightens every moment of unease. A co-production with Czech partners, Taaroz debuted in cinemas during late 2024 and was featured in the “New Look” section at the 2025 Fajr Film Festival before its online release . As one of the first Iranian series to embrace the psychological-thriller genre in a serialized format, Taaroz delivers an unsettling yet compelling exploration of surveillance, mental disintegration, and the fragility of self.
